Synchronization Log in Unread Mail 2007 - 2013
Suddenly I have been receiving synchronization logs in my unread mail. The first time this occurred, I received my entire history of sync logs, which amounted to about 5000 logs in my unread mail. I deleted all of them, but now I receive about 50 sync logs a day.
Can someone please tell me how to make it so sync logs do not appear in my Unread Mail? Thank you

Whilst I hate to reply to an old thread, this is top of the list for search results so someone else might find this answer handy!
We had this issue with out 2007 installation - whilst we didn't have a direct cure for it, one of the team found an alternative workaround to the one above for stopping them popping up in your Unread. Simple enough for your end users as well.
In your mail folders view, scroll down to "Search Folders".
Right click on the "Unread Mail" subfolder.
Click "Customise this Search Folder"
Uncheck "Search Subfolders"
Uncheck "Mailbox - "Joan Citizen" (Top level folder)
Check "Inbox", or any other folder that you have unread mail being directed to that you wish to show in your unread. (I just have inbox checked on mine)
Ok, Ok, send/recieve, rejoice, go back to server room for celebratory beers.
